Week of Nov. 30
Welcome back to another week! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and break.
We have 18 student days until our next break and we have a lot to do during that time.
In 6th, 7th, and 8th grade we will be discussing the water cycle this week. We will also be working on learning about topographic maps and what that can tell us about an area.
In 5th grade, we will be learning about mixtures this week. We are going to learn how to use prepositional phrases in our writing and continue to practice our cursive. We will continue our book The Phantom Tollbooth and discussing word play.
The students have a challenge this month. They need to each week by Friday complete their Lexia minutes and complete 4 levels on Zearn. If they do, their name will go into a drawing to earn a free meal. We will also be completing our door decorating contest this month as well. December is tomorrow so we will have more fun to share for this month.
Please remember that we have set up parent teacher conferences. These will be done by zoom. Mrs. Bertothy or Mrs. Cramer left a message about your date and time. I will send a reminder out the day before and the zoom link. If you have any questions about this, please contact us.
Have a wonderful week!
