2018 - 2019 8th Grade Science – Mrs Stephanie Gray

The 8th graders have been working on writing their own procedures and experiments to help them see how scientist conduct studies of people in many different ways.

The 8th graders are trying to determine who infected whom. They learned that a carrier of a disease is someone who is infected with the disease in order to transmit it to others.

The 7th/8th grade girls had a wonderful day yesterday at UMO for the Expanding your Horizons conference. The students learned about different jobs in science, technology, engineering, and math that women can have. Some of the things they learned about were web design, wolves, landscaping, gender equality, and water samples. The students heard from the President of the University and she explained to them how it is important for them to be confident, to be able to communicate, to be willing to change your ideas, and have computation skills to succeed in many jobs that they will encounter in the future.
