Week of Jan. 18
Welcome back to another week of school! We are still in the green and this is a great news.
This week in Middle School Science we are going to talk about human consumption of resources. We are going to learn what this looks like throughout the world and how are resources will be affected because of this. We will also discuss whether resources are being used up quickly or slowly or if it depends on the type of resource.
The 5th graders are continuing a new unit about Cultures in Conflict. This week we will discuss oral traditions about the Native American groups. We are going to be learning about linking verbs and helping verbs this week. We will continue our practice with cursive. We are studying plant and animal extinction. We are researching an animal that is extinct and creating a poster all about that animal to explain how fossils help us understand animals that once lived on the earth. We are researching a Native American group and completing a poster to teach the class all about this Native American group.
Thursday and Friday we will be completing the Winter NWEA for reading and Math
