2020 - 2021 Grade 5
The 5th graders completed a solubility lab this week. We used everyday items the students might encounter to determine the properties of the items. We then discussed how knowing properties can help us identify materials.
The 5th graders everyday are responsible for putting the flag up and taking it down!

Having a little Halloween fun
We learned to use the triple beam balance this week.
We are learning about mixtures, chemical reactions, and temperatures changes.
Cookie Fossil Dig - We are learning about fossils and what paleontologist do for work!
We are learning about survival of the fittest. The 5th graders have different items to use to represent the mouths of animals. They have to try to get as many beans as possible in a certain amount of time and then determine which type would allow you to survive better!
