2018 - 2019 5th Grade Science
The 5th grade are studying a unit all about matter. Matter is anything that takes up space and has mass. It is all around us whether we can see it or not!
The 5th graders spent a day at the Woodlawn museum. During this trip, they learned about the history of Apples, pressed apples to make cider, took a tour of the house and learned about life during that time,and participated in soil science where they learned about composting and growing plants
The 5th graders have learned how to use Triple Beam Balances so they can continue their investigations about conserving matter.
