I graduated in 2015 from the University of Maine at Farmington with Magna Cum Laude honors. I was born in Annapolis, Maryland and moved to Bar Harbor, Maine at 7 years old. I always enjoyed playing sports and participating in music growing up.
At an early age I realized working with children was a passion of mine, however I was not sure in which direction I would pursue. My senior year of high school I did an internship in a 6 grade math classroom with a former teacher of mine. That is when I new teaching was my future career choice.
I have engaged in many practicums with with a wide age range of students to include 2nd grade, pre-k, an infant toddler playgroup, as well as student teaching in 3rd grade.
My life has changed dramatically this past year as I have graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education specializing in birth to age five and kindergarten to third grade, been accepted at my first job, was approved for my first apartment and got married to my high school sweetheart. I am very excited to have my own classroom here at Cave Hill and begin my life as an educator.

My name is Marion Frehill. I live in Mariaville, Maine, a town between Bangor and Bar Harbor in Northern Maine. I enjoy living a mile in the woods in a beautiful setting that allows for four-wheeling, walking, biking, and kayaking with a book on a lazy summer day. It is like being on permanent vacation!
I have been teaching since 1987. I began a year after I graduated from Wheaton College, located in Norton, Massachusetts.
For the first 15 years, I was employed by the Norwell Public Schools. I taught ½ time Kindergarten for eight of those years where I had two sets of students and then ended teaching second grade.
In 2002, I relocated to Maine where I have held several different positions in both public and private schools. I have taught preschool, all-day Kindergarten, Title 1 Reading and Math, second grade, third grade and last year I taught all-day Kindergarten again.
I have been employed by RSU 24 for the past 9 years at the Peninsula School. During that time, I have learned about and used many of the initiatives put forth by our district. Education is about to get even more exciting with the advent of Proficiency-Based Education work which has begun in our schools. Student’s needs are addressed in a way that is best for them.
I look forward to continuing this important work this coming year at the Cave Hill School as a part of the Primary team.

Community Lunch on July 15th - BBQ chicken, garden salad featuring veggies from the Sumner HS garden, fresh fruit, dinner roll, & fresh baked sugar cookie! Kids under 18 eat free; adults $4. There will be games and root beer floats, too! 11:30-12:30 - come join us!!

Please join us in honoring Nellie Davis and celebrate 30+ years as custodian at the Bears' Den on Sunday, July 26th 2-4 pm. Please bring light refreshments to share!

There will be a book swap starting on July 15th - clean out your books - adults, too! We'll collect them and then put them out for the taking on the 15th and the remainder of the summer!! Remember the school is open on Tuesdays 8-3 and any time you see Mrs. Jordan's car in the parking lot!!

Our first summer BBQ is tomorrow, July 8th 11:30-12:30 at CHS. Kids under 18 eat free; $4 for adults.
There will be a puppet show and ice cream!! The library will be open, too!

On Tuesday June 9th is the School Budget Referendum vote. We encourage you to stop by your town’s polling place and vote. Thank you for your continued support for the RSU 24 schools.

Thank you to all of the students and staff who helped raise $122.35 for the Relay for Life Team. The RSU team raised over $1000!!
