Our Cave Hill Bears exceeded our fundraising goal of $850 by raising a total of $1058 for the American Heart Association! Leah Salisbury raised $155 to be the top Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser and Alexis Higgins was the top Hoops for Heart fundraiser with $188. Great job and thank you to all who participated! The thank you gifts that students earned will arrive in approximately 4-6 weeks.

Congratulations to our CHS girls' basketball team! They play at 5 PM against the Mountain View Cougars on Tuesday, February 23rd at SMHS. Wear your blue & white! Admission is $3 for adults; $1 for students.

Congratulations to Kendal Strout & Connor Taylor! They will be representing our school at the County Bee in February! Ethan LeClerc is our alternate.

Due to a power outage, Cave Hill School is cancelled for today, Monday January 11.

Hello Parents of students in grades 6-8,
As you are aware, we have moved to Mastery Connect as a proficiency-based assessment tracking and reporting system. It was our intention to send home your child's mastery progress report today, but we have run into some technical glitches that are beyond our control that will prevent us from doing so. Please note that student data is secure, and you can log in tothe Mastery Connect website to see your child's progress at any time. We will send your child's report home as soon as possible - thank you for being patient in this process.

RSU 24 schools participated in the “Maine Harvest Lunch Week” in September.

Maine harvested foods were served at all of our schools. Items on the menu included Maine raised beef, Aroostook County potatoes, fruits and vegetables from local farmers (including corn on the cob, apples and blueberries), Maine lobster and Maine milk. Students participated in food preparation such as shucking the corn. We look forward to participating next year and will continue to incorporate local farm foods in our menu whenever possible.

In recognition of our participation the District has received a Farm to School Champion Award from the Maine Department of Education Child Nutrition.

As stated in the RSU 24 strategic plan, we will utilize a ‘farm to school’ perspective whenever possible.

The influenza vaccine will be available at no cost to your child. Attached is more information and the permission form that nees to be returned ASAP.

The new Lead and Copper rule now requires that we notify parents and staff of the results of our lead samples. Our water met the requirments and is safe to drink.
