Congratulations to our School Spelling Bee Winners ~ Caden Robertson & Alexander Rogers (our alternate is Samantha Carter). Caden & Alexander will represent our school at the County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 31st @ 6 PM at Hancock Grammar School.

On Wednesday, January 25th, our K-5 CHS students will be traveling to MVS to enjoy a day of fun-filled, hands-on learning!

Visiting Author & Illustrator Day: Rebekah Raye and Kim Ridley, who have written and illustrated two books about our local vernal pools and estuaries, The Secret Pool and The Secret Bay, will join us at MVS on January 25th for an exciting day of exploring the natural world around us . Kim will work with students to craft their own creative stories, while Rebekah will lead students in creating beautiful illustrations to complement their writing. Frank Dorsey from Friends of Taunton Bay will also join us, introducing students to the amazing world of horseshoe crabs and the microscopic organisms present in our very own Taunton Bay.

The CHS Spirit Bears are sponsoring a Collection Drive for The Ark Animal Shelter until January 20th.
Items requested: paper towels, Clorox Bleach, rubbing alcohol, pails, brooms, Dawn dish detergent, Purina One Lamb & Rice dog food, Friskies any flavor pate cat food, Fancy Feast any flavor, Purina naturals dry cat food, dog toys, stuffed toys, Nylabones and Kongs, dog leashes (6 foot nylon leads, either ¾ or 1 inch wide), cat toys, office supplies.

Nathan Kimball will represent Cave Hill at the next level of the National Geography Bee. First alternate is Ethan LeClerc and second is Alison Brown.

The Spirit Bears sponsored a door contest to celebrate the holidays and winter. Doors had to be created mostly by the students and incorporate our mascot, the bear, somewhere on the door.
First Place Winners was the "Totally Awesome Bears" homeroom!
