Pre-K 2025-2026

Hello Pre-K class, my name is Miss. Monica!

This will be my fifth year teaching Pre-K. I went to college for Baking and Pastry Arts at Johnson and Wales in Rhode Island from 2016-2018. I moved to Washington State in 2018 to work at Bakery Nouveau in Seattle. I lived there for almost 4 years. During this time I decided to return to school for Early Childhood Education. I am currently continuing my education. I love baking, reading, knitting and crocheting, hiking, and kayaking. My family includes my husband "Mr. Ed", daughter Lucia, my dog Bosco, and my cat Ivo. I can't wait to meet everyone!

We will be using Class Dojo throughout the year for important information and messages. Please check your email to create an account!

Our PreK curriculum is changing a bit this year, this is what is solidified:
* Eureka Math Squared
* Handwriting Without Tears
* FUNdations

Class List:

* A spare change of clothes, in a Ziploc bag labeled, that will stay at school in their cubbies.

* Backpack

* Labeled water bottle. This will be returned every Friday to be washed!

* A family photo, 4X6 (Can be printed off a computer, or emailed to me)

The goal is to create a family photo wall in the classroom. This will help those who really miss their family during the school day, and give your child a sense of belonging in a new space!

* Snow gear of ski pants, boots, hat, and extra mittens once the weather turns cold with a change of shoes and socks. Whatever can stay at the school for snow gear is helpful! I have some extra snow pants that can be assigned to your child.

* One stuffed animal and a blanket can be brought for nap time. Please no toys or anything of great importance!

* Classroom donation snacks such as goldfish, crackers, and applesauce.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns!

See you all very soon!
