Little Bear Library is NOW OPEN!
The Cave Hill students and staff dedicated our Little Bear Library to Stephen and Gail Hare this beautiful afternoon. The students and staff gathered outside to hear eighth graders, Olivia Jordan and Alexa Hidri, read an Elephant and Piggie book, Elephants Cannot Dance, by Mo Willems. A favorite book Mrs. Hare used to read to the current eighth graders when they were her kindergarten students! Some of our students and staff donated books for the kick-off.
Our library is registered with the Little Free Library Book-Sharing Network which is nation-wide and around the world. The goal is to share the love of reading by offering free books to anyone! Anyone may take a book - community members, students, staff, and passersby. Book donations are welcome at our library! Folks may drop off books anytime, too.
Stephen Hare built our library this summer and also built and donated one to the Town of Waltham. We are very excited about joining the Little Free Library organization, and we invite community members to take a book, share a book.
The Cave Hill Bears are grateful to the Hare Family for their donation of our Little Bear Library!
