September 13 is Bicycle Day at Cave Hill School

Sept 13 is Bicycle Day at Cave Hill School!

In cooperation with the Bicycle Coalition of Maine's "BikeMaine" event and the Maine Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Education Program, Cave Hill School is excited to announce its first ever BICYCLE DAY!

This all day event will include presentations on bicycle and pedestrian safety, flat tire and mechanical demonstrations, a bike rodeo for the younger kids and a bike ride for the older kids! Kids who don't have a helmet or who need a new one will receive free helmets.

In addition, the kids will be able to interact with and learn from the BikeMaine participants!

Kids are urged to bring their bikes to the school on Sept 13 for a free safety check and to use at the riding events. A limited number of loaner bikes will also be available. We encourage parents to drop off bikes on Sept. 12th and we will store them in the gym.

Parents are welcome to attend!

Permission slips for your child to participate in the riding events will be sent home early next week!
