Star Bears meet their goal!

The Star Bears asked for donations for donorschoose. On Friday, we counted up the money. What a great way to practice strategies for counting change! Donations totaled $114.16! Next we checked out the donorschoose website and completed 3 projects. The first one was for $9 to first graders in Ohio so that they can get whisper phones. The next project was for a third grade class in California for $51 so that they can get science supplies. The last project was for leappads and accessories for a first grade class in Texas for $54. That one was touching! The teacher described that it is difficult for her to get the supplies she needs. One of the Star Bears said that is sad and we need to help. What a great way to help our students build compassion and empathy for others! Thank you to all who donated!
