Reminders

Just a few quick reminders:

Reading NWEA on Monday

5th grade has 60 minutes of reading due every Friday. Please check their log and sign off that they have completed this

Please send in a pair of headphones for your child to use during the day

We are collecting socks for Socktober! We can use your help with that.

We will have a Halloween Celebration in the afternoon. The 4th/5th grade will have a party together followed by the PreK - 5 Parade of Costumes at 2:15. You are invited to come at this time to see this. Weather permitting it will be outside!

October Reading Log

Each week in the Month of October, 5th graders are expected to read for 60 minutes and show their completed log on Friday. This can be split up in anyway over the course of Monday night to Thursday night. As parents, please sign each log that your child has completed. This will help them to build skills this year!

Reminders

As we near October, please try to send in a pair of headphones with your child. This will help with many programs we are using this year.

October 7th and October 10th is a no school

Family Night is October 6th from 5:00 - 6:30 and it will be a camping theme night

October 6th will be Picture Day

Please be checking students Peek of the Week as they will start having homework. This week they need to complete Fluency each night. This will help to improve their skills and they will have this most weeks for the rest of the school year with occasional other pieces of homework too.

Reminders

Please remember that for both 4/5th grade ELA and Math that your child needs to have a pair of headphones to help them complete Lexia and Zearn during the day. Students are welcome to leave them here at school. I recommend them putting it in a plastic zip lock bag and labeling them or they could keep it right in the pencil holder in their bear binder.

Return all forms back to school

In October, we will be participating in Socktober. This will start on October 3rd for the whole month. The donations can be any type of scosks and we will split the donations between the Emmaus Homeless Shelter and The Community Closet.

Picture Day will Tuesday, October 6th

PE is on Wednesday and shoes are needed for PE class
