Book It Program

As we come to a close on the month of November, we will be starting in 5th grade the Book It program. Each student has a letter being sent home with them that explains how you approve that they can participate. Then, they must read 10 minutes or more a night, record on their reading log, and get a parent signature. After they complete at least 20 days a month of this goal, they can submit their log to me and they will then earn their certificate to get a personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut. What a fun way to build our reading skills and get free pizza as well! If you have any questions, please reach out to me about it.

February Reminders

Just a reminder that 5th graders need to be reading 60 minutes a week if it is a 5 day week and 45 minutes if it is a 4 day week. Each student has a monthly log to record the book they are reading, the amount of minutes they read for, and for a parent/adult signature.

February vacation is the week of the 20th.

It is also important on these cold days that the 5th graders are wearing warm clothes. They should also bring a sweatshirt incase they are cold in class.
