I have been teaching since 1987. My first fifteen years I worked for the Norwell Public Schools in Norwell, Massachusetts, a town twenty miles south of Boston. I taught Kindergarten for eight years and second grade for seven years.
In 2002, my husband and I relocated to Maine. For the past fifteen years, I have taught every grade from Preschool through Grade Three, including Title 1 Reading and Math. I have worked at Life Christian Academy, School Union 76 at the Brooklin School, and eleven years in RSU 24 at the Peninsula School and now here at Cave Hill School.
I enjoy doing many things which I love to share with my students. I enjoy reading, biking, running, traveling and many of the arts. The list of what I like to do and experience is endless but I must say it is those things that I have learned from others that I enjoy doing most. It only proves that one is never too old to learn something new!
It is this love of life long- learning that I wish to pass along to all of the students here at Cave Hill School. It is hard to believe that I am beginning my third year in what I consider to be my school family. In these past two years I have learned the "County Song", biked to Cape Cod, coached cross country and have just completed the Sunrise Trail Run with Ms. Jacobs. It has been an exciting time and I look forward to even more adventures as the year progresses!
