The next week we became complete when Savannah Moscato joined us.  Welcome, Savannah.  We are so glad that you are a Honey Mustard Bear!
Here we are; what we thought was the best homeroom in the world, but we were wrong.  We didn't know it at the time, but we were incomplete on this day.

Hello from Mrs. Cramer

August 2, 2017

Dear Middle Schoolers,

I hope your summer has been fun, restful, and restorative and that you are gearing up for school because August 29th, the first day of school, is just around the corner.  I have been having a great summer.  I went on a fantastic trip to France.  I have been growing lots of flowers, reading, and playing with my dog, Lizzie.  I feel recharged and very excited to get back to school.  I can’t wait to see you all; I have missed you so much!  Everyone has been working hard here at the school, and everything is almost ready for our return.

We will be doing many of the same things and a few new things this year.  We will be continuing proficiency based learning and assessment, and our curriculum is going to be very similar to last year.   We will continue to use the Springboard English, Sadlier-Oxford vocab, and Easy Grammar books.  We will also be reading some books together this year.  We will continue with our reward trips, so you’ll want to get all your homework in.

That's right!  For the second year in a row, we won the Christmas door contest. Look for a threepeat in 2017!

You should be getting one of these in the mail.

Dear Fifth Graders,

I hope your summer has been fun, restful, and restorative and that you are gearing up for school because August 30th, the first day of school, is just around the corner.  I have been having a great summer.  I have been growing lots of flowers, reading, and playing with my dog, Lizzie.  I feel recharged and very excited to get back to school.  I can’t wait to see you all and get to know you better!  Everyone has been working hard here at the school, and everything is almost ready for our return.

We will be doing many of the same things and a few new things this year.  We will be continuing proficiency based learning and assessment, and our curriculum is going to be very similar to last year.   We will continue to use Lucy Calkins as our writing curriculum. We will learn vocabulary and grammar.  We will also be reading some books together.

Some things will be different this year.  You will have a new math teacher, but it has not yet been announced who it will be.  I will be teaching 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th English, and Miss Davis will be teaching 5th social studies and 5th, 6th, and 7th/8th  science.  Miss Davis and I have switched rooms, so I will now be next to Mrs. Bertothy, and Miss Davis will be in the science room at the end of the hall.  Homerooms will stay pretty much the same: 8th with Mrs. Bertothy, 6th and 7th with me, and 5th with Miss Davis.  The 4th grade is staying upstairs with Mrs Van Trump.

I would like you to have a few supplies for the first day of school.  I have tried to keep the list short.  Please let me know if you have any trouble getting any of these items.
