Bio

I grew up in Buxton, Maine and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 2006. I attended the University of Maine at Farmington and graduated in 2010 with a BS in Elementary Education and a concentration in Social Sciences. In May 2017, I completed my Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in curriculum strategies and instruction from the University of New England. From 2010 – 2011, I worked at Ellsworth Elementary Middle School as a Special Education Ed Tech. My first year of teaching (2011 - 2012) I taught at Hancock Grammar School as a 5th grade science teacher and a 6th grade social studies teacher. From 2012 - 2016, I taught 4th/5th grade at Cave Hill School. From 2016 - 2017, I taught 5th grade science and social studies and 6th - 8th grade science. From 2017 - 2018, I taught 5th/6th grade social studies and 5 - 8 grade science. From 2018 - 2019, I taught 3rd to 8th grade science and 5th grade social studies. From 2019 - 2020, I taught 3rd to 8th grade science and 5th grade social studies. From 2020 - 2021, I taught 5th grade ELA, social studies, and science and 6th, 7th, 8th grade science. From 2021 - 2022, I taught 5th grade. From 2023 - 2024, I taught 5th graders everything except for math and the 4th graders ELA. This year I am excited to be teaching 5th graders everything except for math and the 4th graders ELA again.
