Principal's Message

Dear Students and Parents:

Greetings and welcome to school year 2023-2024!  Hardly seems possible that a new school year is starting soon, but I am excited to see our Bear Cubs come walking through the door on August 29th! As always, I am anticipating a great year full of learning, challenges, successes, and laughter at Cave Hill School.  Together our students, their families, teachers, staff, and community will work hard to make Cave Hill School the best it can be!

Our entire staff is committed to providing our pre-kindergarten to fifth grade students with educational programs that enable them to develop to their fullest potential.  The mission of RSU 24 is “Educating students to be engaged, competent, life-long learners by ensuring opportunities to attain excellence.”  Through RSU-wide initiatives, our entire district is striving for a better school climate and culture, high expectations of teaching and learning, and collaborating with our communities.

We all play a part in our students’ success -- being at school every day and on time, scheduling appointments after-school, working with your child at home during homework time, reading with them as often as you can, encouraging them to be active in extra- and co-curricular opportunities, making sure they have down time, and encouraging them to do their best every day.  I encourage you to stay in contact with your child’s teachers throughout the school year.  Involved parents make a huge difference in the success of a child’s education.
